Smart . . . & Not So Smart

Today we went to a place called The Exploratorium. This is a science museum that is all hands on. It explains EVERYTHING about the universe so that a 10 year old can understand. . . (that means a lot of it still went over my head!) You could spend days there - we lasted a couple hours before we had brain overload! There is a bad picture of all of us in a huge gyroscope. Ashton's favorite exhibits involved getting sandy or wet. Humans are SOO Smart!

We decided to take the 101 all the way to Los Angeles. Off the 101 there is a place just south of San Francisco called Half Moon Bay. On the way to Half Moon Bay, we passed Santa's Christmas Tree farm! Thousands of Christmas Trees are growing right now for our enjoyment in only four months! Half Moon Bay is like the mountains of Park City meet the ocean. It was beautiful. If you've seen the surfing movie "Riding Giants" then you know that a potentially HUGE 60 foot wave lives in the bay called Mavericks. A famous surfer died here and was never found. NOT SO SMART. We stopped with the hopes that the wave was huge today . . . but the ocean was pretty much flat. Ashton and Aaron still thought it "rocked!" We did see several seals in the bay!

Shortly after leaving Half Moon Bay, Ashton nodded off and stayed asleep for half the ride home!! I was so sad the trip was over. I love seeing new places and being with my boys!
