My dad hates to sit still. Especially when spring rolls around and he can start farming again. Since we are experiencing an extremely wet spring, my dad can't work every day out on the farm like he wants to. So he has turned his attention on me!
One day he announced that he was going to build some shelves in my basement for my food storage. So off we went to the Home Depot to purchase materials. My dad is 78 years old and is still incredibly nimble and strong. We spent a couple days together putting these shelves together and a day painting them bright white.
He is very clever with how he jimmyrigs contraptions that helped make building these shelves easier so that we wouldn't get hurt.
We had a great time together and I love my new shelves! Thankfully the weather is hot now and he can go outside and play on his tractors where he belongs!
